2025 5-Frame Nucs - Deposit Reservation

This non-refundable deposit is a reservation request and commitment to purchase (payment on pickup by cash/card/check on pickup). Nuc pricing for 2025 is $225, including a used wooden nuc box, but it is as low as $185 per nuc, if the used wooden nuc box is returned. You can also choose to keep the used box instead, if you wish. A $40 refund is given if the nuc box is returned within 4 weeks. PA sales tax is included in the pricing (provide us with a copy of a PA sales tax exemption form if applicable). If you will be driving from a long distance and prefer a plastic nuc box that you can keep, just let us know at least one week prior to pick up ($205 total with a plastic nuc box that you keep).

Pickup locations include Carlisle, PA or Nicholson, PA (depending on week--see below).

Early and mid May nucs are made with marked (blue) 2025 Pol-line queens, which show good laying patterns. Using these queens, we then make up a nuc with our own worker bees 4-6 weeks in advance so that we can observe the quality of the queen. They are not made from bees returning from Georgia, Florida, or California Almond Pollination.

May 30th and June 1st nucs are made with 2025 Walnut Farm Bee queens (Carniolan unless otherwise requested in advance).

Pickup of nucs may vary if impacted by spring weather. The 5 drawn frames (if you need a medium nuc, contact us immediately after ordering--that preference cannot be changed in the spring) include a marked and laying queen (blue for 2025), frames of brood, and resources.

OUR GUARANTEE:

If you follow our nuc install instructions, and you discover a problem with your nuc within the first four weeks (30 days), you can return the original nuc box with the bees and schedule a replacement nuc or your money back, or be given a replacement queen if that is determined to be the problem.
